Tomorrow I am leaving for Africa again. The schedule is very tight: talk at the Benin parliament on networks, meeting with SEAM and what they can do with the Homeless World Cup, Benin Telecom infrastructure, building a library in Aledjo (meeting with the architect) and finally welcome Anne and Nadja, the two girls who will spend their social year in Benin.
Before I leave Alexander, Tim and I once again would like to say thank you for all the support we receive from our friends. To us it is amazing and overwhelming what happened since our first trip – it seems that there is a good understanding of better ways to help than traditional development aid! And if we ask people they help! And they even come up with own ideas … this is so good to see!
At our Benin Fundraising Party at the Heidelberg CAVE54 last Sunday we collected 300 EUROS plus 100 USD – Thanks to all who joined us this evening and special thanks to Silvia and Carlos from Humble Lion Band! They really rocked!!!
Besides the funds from our party we received additional 790 Euro from friends. Some of them don’t want to be named, some of them donated for the second time – some “newcomers” joined the crowd:-) Thank you Dagmar, Tina, Bea, Andrea, Alex, Joern, Egon, Axel, Frank, Joern, Thorsten, Leong, Helge, Simon and Doris! And thanks to anybody else who helped us to help Benin!
All the money will go to ADRIA for micro finance credits!

Good to learn about all this ! I am from Benin and know about an association of librarians. They could help you with your project of library. In case your are interested here is the url to their website http://www.adadb.bj.refer.org . Keep it on !
